Answer:

8 units

solution,

Let the points be A and B

A(-3,4)---->(X1,y1)

B(5,4)----->(x2,y2)

now,

Distance:

\sqrt{ {(x2 - x1)}^(2) + {(y2 - y1)}^(2) } \\ = \sqrt{ {(5 - ( - 3))}^(2) + (4 - 4) ^(2) } \\ = \sqrt{ {(5 + 3)}^(2) + {(0)}^(2) } \\ = \sqrt{ {(8)}^(2) + 0} \\ = √(64) \\ = \sqrt{ {(8)}^(2) } \\ = 8 \: units

Hope this helps..

Good luck on your assignment..
