( {-3} + 5 ) and ( 3n + { -n } )

-3 + 5 would also be 5 - 3 = 2

3n + -n would be 3n - n = 2n so it would be,

2n + 2 or 2 + 2n.

Since it only an expression we simplify:

-n + (-3) + 3n + 5
