In your own words, give two reasons why it is important to keep your work area clean while completing a lab.

It can prevent cross contamination of of chemicals which can affect test results. It can help you stay organized saving time not having to look for lost items. A messy work space can become dangerous if chemicals are spilled and not cleaned up.
