Think Critically: Use your knowledge of food chains and energy pyramids to explain why fewer lions than gazelles live on the African plains?

Hi there!

We know that both lions and gazelles are both consumers. But gazelles are more known for eating producers such as grass. Plains are filled with grass and it makes it easier for gazelles to find and eat their food than a lion who has to actually spend the time to look and hunt for food.

Hope this helps !
