Area of one side of mini DVD = 15π or 47.12 cm²

Area of a circle = πr²

Thus, Area of mini DVD = π × 4² = 16π

Now,we are told the mini DVD has a hole with a radius of 1 cm.

Area of hole = π × 1² = π

To find the area of one side of the mini DVD, we have to subtract the area of the hole from the area of the DVD.

Thus;

Area of one side of mini DVD = 16π - π

= 15π = 47.12 cm²
