When heating food, why do you think the oven gets hot to the touch while the microwave does not?

Step-by-step explanation:

Because the microwave gives direct heat and the oven surrounds the food.

Hope this helps. Have a great night :)

Answer:

The oven has many different heat sources from the bottom, sides, top, etc...

The microwave only has the sides.
