There are two numbers such that sum of the numbers is 22 and the difference of their squares is 44. Find their difference.

Answer:

12 and 10

Explanation:

I used just x and y for the two different variables

so

22= x+y

44 = x^2 - y^2

its a simultaneous equation now, so you're able to use that from there

12^2=144

10^2=100
