Answer:
subtract 6.1
divide by 1.4
x=-10 (the 10 is negative, in case you didn't know.)

x = (-7.9 - 6.1) / 1.4 = -10
I just did a reverse PEMDAS on the left side, while doing the same stuff on the right. I first subtracted 6.1, then divided by 1.4 to get x.
