Answer:

South East Asian lands and climates weren’t really the best for agricultural practices. Some modifications were made to improve yield such as irrigation, terracing and organic fertilizers usage.

This practices has over the years improved the yield, quality and ensured they produce enough crops for its citizens and for exports too.
