a) V/2 ; b) V/4

Explanation:

a) V = πR²h

If h --> h/2 the new volume V' = πR²h/2 = V / 2

b) πR²h

If D --> D/2 then R --> R/2 and the new volume V" = π(R/2)²h = π(R)²h/4 = V/4
