b) 10 minutes

Explanation:

a) after 30 minutes, Jo had walked 3km which means that after 1 hour

(30mins x 2), Jo would have walked 6km (3km x 2).

∴ Jo walks 6km/hour for the first 30 minutes

b) after 30 minutes, there is a flat line on the graph that stretches from 30 minutes to 40 minutes. The flat line indicates that Jo covered NO distance and was therefore taking a break. from 30 mins to 40 mins is 10 mins

∴ Jo's rest was 10 mins long
