If there was no Sun in our Solar System then are Earth would have no life because the Sun provides heat, warmth, and energy for us to live. Our Sun is 5 billion years old and the hottest part of our Sun is about 15,000,000*C. Energy is created in the Sun's core, it travels very slowly to the Sun's surface before it takes a SUPER SPEEDY trip to Earth in the form of Light and Heat. It takes about eight minutes for light to travel approximately 150 million km through space to Earth.
