In your point of view, what was Karl Marx trying to say about Socialism and Communism? Who were the proletariat and what part did they play in Marx's ideas? Is or was socialism successful?

Answer: The proletariat was just the person who didn't get as much as the privileged. He thought this unfair and supported the proletariat. The idea of communism, in essence, it to protect the proletariat. Communism wasn't successful because the way he dreamed up to defend the proletariat, is to equalize monetary distribution.
