1(3x⁵ + 2x³ + x) - 1(-x² + 2x - 5)

1(3x⁵) + 1(2x³) + 1(x) + -1(-x²) + -1(2x) + -1(-5) <== remember multiplying 2 negatives, makes a positive

3x⁵ + 2x³ + x + x² - 2x + 5 <== combine any like terms

3x⁵ + 2x³ + x² -x + 5 <== make sure that your answer is in Standard form (in decreasing degrees)
