Answer:

The answer is -1.2 or -1 1/5.

Explanation:

I found this answer by subtracting 5x from both sides and got 6=12+5x. Then i subtracted 12 from both sides and got -6=5x. Lastly, i divided both sides by 5 and got -6/5 which is -1 1/5 in fraction form or -1.2 in decimal form.
