85.25 = 3p + 10d

Multiply second equation by 3,

255.75 = 9p + 30d

Subtract first equation

255.75 - 96.25 = 30d - 8d

159.5 = 22/d

d = 159.5/22 = 7.25

3p = 85.25 - 10d = 85.25 - 72.50 = 12.75

p = 4.25

Answer: Price of a drink is $7.25
