Cells are the basic building block of living things. There are many similarities between all cells, but there are also notable differences.

1. Define the terms prokaryote and eukaryote.
2. Identify two cell structures which are found in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.

Prokaryotes are the organisms which have cells that do not have nucleus while eukaryotes are the organisms whose cells have nucleus

Ribosomes are found in both prokaryotes and eukaryoutes but eukaryotic ribosomes are ten times larger than prokaryotic ribosomes

They both have cell walls but their cell walls are made up of different substances

Prominent nucleus is found in eukayotes while prokaryotes do not have nucleus

Eukaryotes have membrane bounded organelles such as mitochondria,golgi apparatus,endoplasmic reticulum etc while such membrane bounded organelles are not found in prokaryotes
