These snakes that were not native to the are began feeding and existing in an ecosystem that is not their own. The natural balance of the eco-system was interrupted and cause the biodiversity to rapidly decline. This is because the pythons do not have a natural predator in the Florida everglades and can reproduce and grow unchecked. Wildlife conservationist are now working to reduce these populations and trying to stabilize the ecosystem.
