Luis stated that the ordered pair (3,-1) corresponds to an

input-output pair for the function y = -2x + 7. Is he correct?
Why or why not?

Answer: Not correct

Explanation:

If you plug 3 in for x and 7 in for y and solve you figure out there not equal. -1=-2(3)+7

-2(3)+7=1 because -2x3 is -6 and -6+7 is 1 which means -1=1 which isn’t true
