Both the wars had tremendous effect on the economy of Europe. It was in debt and this made United States the world power as it was the biggest creditor in the world.

Inflation was at its height and Germany had to pay the most as war reparations. All the great powers of Europe, namely Britain, Germany, France, United Kingdom were affected by both the wars. It weakened them. Agriculture was disrupted with destroyed factories and no harvest. There was fallout of colonialism. Germany lost almost all its colonies.
