How did people in the North and South react to Uncle Tom's Cabin?

Answer: Well I'm not sure with north but the south was very furious that The book was banned and a bookseller in Alabama was forced to leave the town for selling it. and Stowe(the author of the book) was receiving threatening notes. Critics called it slanderous and distorted. they tried to threaten Stowe.

I’m not so sure about the north but i know that the south was very angry because they claimed it was an inaccurate depiction of slaveholders. I hope this helps!
