Explanation:

Step 1:

To find the slope the formula is given by

Slope = (Δy)/(Δx) =

( Change in Y Co-ordinate)/ (Change in X Co-ordinate) =(y₂-y₁)/(x₂-x₁)

Step 2:

In the given figure y coordinate change from +4 to +1 and X coordinate changes from +1 to +2.

y₂= 4, y₁= 1

x₂= 2 x₁=1

Applying the values in the above formula as follows

Slope= (4-1)/(2-1)

= (3)/(1)

= 3
