Hey there!

If you have eight pieces of rope and cut them each into three pieces, you basically have 8 times three, which is 24!

When you divide by a fraction, you multiply it by the reciprocal!

8/ 1/3 = 8*3=24

I hope this helps!

Answer:

24

Explanation:

So this is a multiplication problem. So f we start with 8 ropes, and we need to cut each one to 1/3, then we will cut each one three times, so, this means that we will have 24 pieces of rope.
