Explanation:

There are two things that can be done to this question.

one thing is to solve to the lowest value, and the second is to compress the expression with common multiples

so since -6 is common to -12x + 6 and 4 is common to 4x - 12, then we can have

-6(2x - 1) + 4(x - 3)

Or we can expand and reduce and have

-12x + 4x + 6 - 12

-8x - 6

since -2 is a common multiple of both, we can now have

-2(4x + 3)
