Li(OH) (Lithium Hydroxide) is a compound.

In order to differentiate between compounds and elements, it's good to know the definitions of them.

Elements are individual atoms. Carbon, Oxygen, and Hydrogen are all examples of elements.

Compounds are COMBINATIONS of elements. For example, H2O (Water) has both Hydrogen and Oxygen. Li(OH) has Lithium, Oxygen and Hydrogen.
