Explanation:

Let x represent the monthly sales for the 10% commission job

Let y represent the monthly sales for the 6% commission job

Commission: .10x + .06y = 600

Monthly Sales: x + y = 7600

Use Elimination Method to solve the system of equations

100(.10x + .06y = 600) ---> 10x + 6y = 60,000

-6( x + y = 7600) ---> -6x - 6y = -45,600

4x = 14,400
