What if a mutation caused a change in the code so the message read UCA instead of UCC?
How would this affect the protein produced?

Answer: The protein produced will not be affected.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the genetic code, UCA code for the amino acid, Serine. Also, UCC code for serine. Thus, since UCA and UCC code for the same amino acid (serine), the mutation will not affect the protein at all.
