Answer: x = 2y + 4

Explanation:

y=1/2x-4

multiply both sides by 2

2y=x-4

substract from both sides 2y

0=x+–2y-4

substract from both sides x

-x=-2y-4

multiply both sides by -1 to get positive x

x=2y+4
