The coronal brain sections are the section of the brain that divides the brain into the anterior plane and posterior portion. Both portions of the brain anterior and posterior can be identified by the location and surrounding part of the brain.

The internal capsule can recognize by wrapped around the axial region of the cone known as the genu. The cone makes the posterior and anterior portion. The posterior limb is present between the lentiform nucleus and thalamus of the brain while the anterior limb situated between the lentiform nucleus and caudate.
