To solve the inequality for x you need to get x by itself

To do this you need to do the opposite of the operation that is being done to your variable

8x>56 (8 is being multiplied by x, so we need to divide to get rid of the 8)

x>7 (8/8=1, 56/8=7) You keep the sign facing the same way

x>7
