2. in october 2012, a taliban gunman boarded malala’s school bus and fatefully shot her in the head.

3. malala was a target of violence because she was campaigning for girls’ right to education. the taliban strongly disagreed and threatened to bomb girls’ schools in mingora.

4. it is so special that malala received the nobel peace prize because, she was the first pakistani young woman/person to ever receive the award.

5. malala and kailash satyarthi both act against the suppression of children and young people and believe that all children have the right to education.
