If someone has specifically asked you to because it would be detrimental to them if it got out.

Answer: It is okay to keep things to yourself if it has no impact on that person.

Explanation: My therapist said when it comes to somethings you do not ever have to tell your partner. I use to struggle with wanting to tell people about my abuse, when I told my therapist she said it's truly none of their business.
