How was the invasion of Italy similar to the Battle of Berlin? Both events started in April of 1945. Both events were led by Soviet Union forces. Both events resulted in retreats of Allied forces. Both events led to the elimination of leaders from power.

Both events led to the elimination of leaders from power.

Step-by-step explanation:

The invasion of Italy was launched by the US and British forces. The Soviet Red Army laid siege to Berlin. As a consequence, both actions led to the end of two Axis allied regime: the fall of Benito Mussolini and the surrender of Nazi Germany, respectively.
