I just did a test on this! So the heat from the inner core rises in the mantle to the top. It cools at the top and sinks back down. This repeats to create a ⓒⓞⓝⓥⓔⓒⓣⓘⓞⓝ ⓒⓤⓡⓡⓔⓝⓣ . This current drags the plates apart or push them into eachother. I hope it helps!

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:
