**In your own words**explain the relations between the legs and the hypotenuse of a right triangle

Well the relationship between them is a^2+b^2=c^2 (Pythagoras)

So you could put that in words and say that the sum of each leg of a right triangle squared is equal to the hypotenuse squared.
