Pattern seen is arithmetic progression. The both equations are same.

Explanation:

a.The given pattern is 8,12,16,20,24....We can see that the difference between any two consecutive terms is 4.Therefore this is an AP(arithmetic progression).

b.Percy's equation ,
`N = 8 + 4(s-1)\\`

⇒
`N = 8 + 4s - 4`

⇒
`N = 4s + 4`

⇒
`N = 4(s+1)`

which is the same as Stella's equation . So , we can see that both equations are the same.
