Solve the equation from Part C so that y is by itself on one side of the equation. How are this equation and the equation of the line related? What does this relationship mean about any triangle created using this line?

It's easier

We know the slope formula for origin crossing line

  • m=y/x

Here

m is 2

So

  • y/x=2
  • y=2x

Answer:

Earlier we found that:

  • y/x = 2/1

If we put y on one side by itself the equation is:

  • y = 2x

This is same as the equation of the red line.

Any right triangle using this line will be similar to each other.
