It's in the name. Qualitative observations is basically focused on the different methods or steps. It is focused on finding the difference between the different methods, that is the observation. Quantitative is focused on the date (in numbers) Basically, quantitative is focused on the quantity. The number of times the method is performed, or the data numbers which you put into a table.
