X = 135
Y = 45
For X:
The 135 degrees above x are the same angle causing x to 135 degrees.
For Y:
A line is 180 degrees. If you split the line making two angles whatever the angles are they must equal 180. So for this problem 135 + y = 180. Therefore making y = 45.
