Keep the scientific definition of energy in mind. Do people get energy from other sources besides food? If yes, what are they ?

Answer:

Except for humans, plants and animals get all the energy they require from natural sources: from the food that they eat, or from sunshine through photosynthesis. Some organisms derive the energy they need through oxidation of inorganic compounds.
