Simply explain the different court systems in the United States and the various types of cases that can be found in our court system.

First level= U.S. District Court (trial). Each state has at least one. Deals with criminal and civil cases.

Second level= U.S. Circuit Court(appeal). When you lose a case in the District Court, you may appeal your case here. The Court will review records of your previous case. Retrial may only happen with a 2/3 vote.

Third level= Supreme Court. Highest Court in the U.S. Establishes judicial review (declare a law unconstitutional). Takes cases that will affect the entire country.
