Answer: 9^2 or can also be read as 9 squared.The base itself is worth 9 but when you include the exponent its 81.When your solving exponents your multiplying the base by itself as many times as the exponent reads.In this case its 9x9 (2 times). The value of the base is 9 (just wanted to explain the other stuff just in case you didn't know)
