A blood cell is also called a hematopoietic cell, hemocyte or hematocyte.. Is a cell produced through hematopoiesis and found mainly in the blood.

Types of blood cells include:-

red blood cells (erythrocytes),

white blood cells (leukocytes),

platelets (thrombocytes).
