3. Joseph took some sodium hydroxide solution in a petri dish and dipped a red litmus paper into it. The red litmus paper turned blue. He took vinegar in the same petri dish and dipped blue litmus paper. It did not turn red. (Vinegar, being an acid, must turn blue litmus to red) What may be the reason for this? ​
