The solution to the problem is -38.
Explanation:
-(6m + 8) = 4(17 - m)
=> -6m - 8 = 68 - 4m
=> -6m + 4m = 68 + 8
=> -2m = 76
=> m = 76/-2
=>
m = -38

the solution to the problem is -38.
