The surface area for a cylinder is 2πrh +2πr². Plugging 5 in for r (the radius) and 19 in for the height, we get

2π(5)(19) + 2π(5)² = 753.98

The surface area for a rectangular prism is 2(wl + hl +hw), with 10 being the width, 12 being the length, and 19 being the height in this example, resulting in

2(10*12 + 19 * 12 + 10 * 19) = 1076

The surface area for the cylinder will clearly have less surface area/plastic
