The perimeter of B

Let the length of a side of the square that makes up A be, l.

So, we have:


P_A = 10 * l --- because A is formed by 10 sides of l


56 = 10 * l


l =(56)/(10)


l =5.6

The perimeter of B is:


p_B = 8*l --- because B is formed by 8 sides of l


p_B = 8*5.6


p_B = 44.8
