Someone remarked about the Prohibition experiment that, "the cure was worse than the
disease. "What do you think they meant by that statement?

Following prohibition, speakeasy’s (illegal bars) were built and established all over the country so the people could drink alcoholic beverages under the laws radar. Rum runners were also a thing, they smuggled liquor across borders. The quote could possibly mean that the law of prohibition did more bad than good since instead of lowering crime, it increased it.
