When trying to determine area of a circle remember the formula is just pi multiplied by the radius squared

Thats just a fancy way of saying the radius x the radius x pi but REMEMBER since we dont have the radius in this problem we have to figure it out but remember that the radius is only half the diameter so our diameter is 24cm now lets divide that by 2 and we get 12cm now lets multiply that by itself so radius x radius which our radius is 12 so 12 x 12 = 144 now all we have to do is multiply that by pi so

3.14 × 144 = 452.16

Circle Area = pi × ( radius )^2

pi = 3.14

..&..

radius = diameter / 2 = 24 / 2 = 12

Thus :

Area = 3.14 × ( 12 )^2

Area = 3.14 × 144

Area = 452.16 cm^2
