Mechanical advantage of a class 3 lever is always less than 1 because the load arm is always longer than effort arm. This helps by reducing the applied force(effort).that’s your answer hope this helps you!
Have a great day!

What is the value of VR of the third-class lever and why? a) VR=1, because the force is applied in the middle of the lever. b) VR>1, because the force arm is longer than the resistance arm. c) VR<1, because the resistance arm is longer than the force arm. d) VR=0, because it's a third-class lever.
